“Pump The Synth” is a pumping synth-driven midtempo song with a funky syncopated element. The original sketch was from a 2019 project I began but left on the idea pile for 5 years with an occasional revisiting of it now and again, not knowing what direction to go as the two main sections are somewhat contrasting. This year it feels like I finally figured out musical and dynamic elements to mesh the parts in a way that flows organically. This end result is a pumping dance vibe as well as some funky synth bass and drum grooves in the middle of the song.
